Coffee & Vitality Oils!

Here’s a fun compilation of recipes for you coffee lovers out there. If you’d like to avoid some of the carbs and calories from the sugary syrups used in mainstream coffee shops (not to mention saving a little $ by making it yourself!), then we have a treat for you!!

(**Please remember to ALWAYS use a glass, ceramic mug, or stainless steel tumbler for your oily beverage to avoid leaching plastic yuck into your drink or finding a hole in your sytrofoam!)

Sweet Mint Iced Coffee
– 2 drops Spearmint Vitality essential oil
– 12oz unsweetened black cold brew
– stevia or monk fruit if desired
– heavy cream or cold foam (steam heavy cream just enough to create foam but not heat the milk)
– fill with ice to volume

Peppermint Mocha (hot or iced)
– 1 drop Peppermint Vitality essential oil
– stevia or monk fruit to taste
– 12oz black coffee – hot or cold brew
– 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder, stirred
– heavy cream
– ice, for bold brew coffees.
– optional: sprinkle the top with unsweetened cocoa powder

Cinnamon Dolce latte:
– 2 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality
– 1 drop Nutmeg Vitality
– 1-2 espresso shots
– 8oz steamed milk or non-dairy milk of choice

(I use unsweetened almond milk with a splash of heavy cream)
– stevia or monk fruit to taste
– sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of foam

Bulletproof Coffee
In a mug, add the following:
Vitality oil of choice (My usual picks: Nutmeg or Thieves Vitality)
– Stevia or monkfruit to taste
– 12 oz brewed coffee
– heavy cream
In a ninja bullet blender, add these ingredients
– 1 Tbsp MCT oil
– 1 Tbsp Kerrygold unsalted butter
(note: if you are new to bulletproof coffee, start with 1 tsp of MCT & butter)
– add whatever extras you want here: I add Zint collagen peptides; and occasionally, MegaCal from YL.
– pour in about 6oz of brewed coffee from your mug (Ninja blender cup should only be about half full)
– blend 10-15 seconds and add this mixture back into your coffee mug.

“Pumpkin” Spice Cold Brew

  • 4 drops of “pumpkin spice” oil blend (see inset)
  •  tiny amount of stevia
  •  2 cups Stōk brand black, unsweetened iced coffee (or use your preferred cold brew coffee)
  •  1 shot of espresso (optional, but since I have a machine, why not?!)
  •  1 Tbsp heavy whipping cream (or milk/non dairy of choice)
  • Add ice at this point and put it in the fridge  to cool the espresso
  • sprinkle ground cinnamon and nutmeg on top of ice or foam to taste

Ooor…just keep it simple. Pop a K-cup in that brewer, add an oil and your cream/sweetener if you prefer and keep rollin.

BONUS: Hot Chocolate Recipe for those of you non-coffee drinkers!

  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp Pyure stevia blend (with erythritol)
  • 1 scoop MegaCal
  • 3 drops Nutmeg Vitality essential oil
  • 8 oz warm milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • Whipped topping & spice garnish of choice

Combine dry ingredients in a mug and add Nutmeg Vitality. Warm milk on stovetop or use steaming wand on a home espresso machine. Add warmed milk to mug and stir well. Top with whipped cream and ground nutmeg or spice of choice.

Note: for Peppermint hot chocolate, substitute 1-2 drops Peppermint Vitality and use cocoa powder as your garnish.
