Oily Economics: Business Economy

OILY ECONOMICS series, part 6
Evon McDonald, Young Living Diamond, FCCI

Let your oily lifestyle pay for itself!

At this point in this series, we’ve discussed the economics of prioritizing your own wellness, the incredible cost-savings of becoming a Young Living member by purchasing a starter kit and jumping on Essential Rewards, the positive impact of transfer buying on your family’s budget, and a few ideas of how to make your oils and products stretch further – saving you even more.

We have not yet talked about the fact that Young Living also offers an income opportunity for anyone who would like to spread their wings and work for themselves – and not only get your product paid for, but to reach beyond the upper limits of your wildest dreams with a new family of Young Living oilers all over the globe. Not only do Young Living distributors enjoy one of the most generous compensation plans in the network marketing industry, but we get to do it alongside brand new best friends whom we may not have met if not for someone sharing their essential oils with you.

Now, I realize the distributor life may not be for you, and that’s okay.  You don’t have to do anything to keep your discount except make a 50pv order in a 12-month calendar period.  But if you stick around for a minute, you might be surprised at just how simple it is to earn an income by casually sharing oils.

If you’re still staunchly opposed to dreaming big, you may keep scrolling, but the rest of you, listen up!

In a nutshell: If you offer your friend some lavender or peppermint to take care of an issue, and they love it so much that they want their own, you just give them your member number and help them set up their account the same way you did. They buy their kit and you pocket a handsome Thank You check, direct deposited to your bank account the following month. That simple. As Sarah Harnisch (author of Gameplan)  says, “Lather, Rinse, Repeat.”  It’s a legit way to support your oil habit! Mine pays for all of my oil order, and I am oh so grateful and proud to be able to provide such amazing, safe products for my family to use on a daily basis.

The biggest key to sharing oils is that you are willing to open the bottle and put a drop in a friend’s hand. Show her how to use it. Offer her some Thieves Household Cleaner. You can read blogs, books, research in your reference books, and make sure to network with your upline (hopefully, that’s me!). My organization is GTO Droppers, but I am blessed with some of the most wonderful mentoring support from those who have blazed the trail before me. We are more than happy to teach and train those who are ready to dive in and learn!

Training events are a wonderful way to network with other oilers, as well as your own team, and come home with renewed enthusiasm and ideas to propel your business to your next goal – and along the way, you learn some wonderful ways to take care of yourself as well.  As I write this, my friends and I are on a plane headed to the 25th anniversary Young Living 2019 International Grand Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, to meet up with more of our oily group and hear about all the exciting new product releases and huge company news that will be coming to Young Living this year.

There’s nothing scary about this biz – it’s all in good fun, and with the most fun bunch of people you’ll ever meet!!

Young Living has an incredibly generous compensation plan, and I invite you to check out all the details here, and to view the earning potential and the full income disclosure statement here
